Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2025

1. Acceptance

By creating a StandardCraft account or using any StandardCraft service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service description

StandardCraft provides NYS Next Generation standards-aligned classroom resources (lesson plans, worksheets, exit tickets, and similar instructional materials) to New York State educators and education professionals via a credit-based subscription model. StandardCraft is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account or resell access to resources.

4. Credits and downloads

Credits are granted per subscription plan and expire at the end of each billing cycle. Credits are non-transferable and non-refundable except as described in our Refunds & Assurance policy.

Each launch resource download costs 1 credit. A free signup account includes 1 credit for one resource download. Once downloaded, a resource may be re-downloaded at no additional credit cost.

5. License to use resources

Upon downloading a resource, StandardCraft grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the resource for personal, educational, non-commercial classroom use. You may not:

  • Redistribute, resell, or post resources publicly (including on third-party marketplaces such as Teachers Pay Teachers)
  • Remove or alter alignment records, branding, or attribution notices
  • Use resources for commercial tutoring, test-prep, or for-profit educational products without written permission

6. No NYSED affiliation

StandardCraft resources are original content created to align with publicly available official NYS standards. StandardCraft is not an official NYSED product and its resources are not reviewed, endorsed, or certified by NYSED.

7. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans renew automatically each month. You may cancel at any time from your Account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. See our Refunds & Assurance policy for credit and billing dispute procedures.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Resources are provided "as is" for educational guidance purposes only. StandardCraft makes no warranty that resources will be appropriate for every student, classroom, or IEP. Educators are responsible for adapting materials to the needs of their students. Resources labeled "teacher reference only" for IEP-related content are not legal IEP documents.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StandardCraft's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York.
